Jonas Yawovi Dzinekou is a critical educator, social entrepreneur, and faith-driven innovator with over two decades of experience in higher education and social impact leadership across Malawi, Zambia, and Kenya. His work bridges academia, faith, and enterprise, empowering young people and communities to become social innovators who drive lasting change.

He currently serves at Tangaza University, where he leads transformative initiatives such as the Laudato Si’ Initiative, which promotes circular-economy thinking and environmental consciousness, and the Tangaza Social Innovation Sandbox (SIS) an incubator nurturing youth-led social innovation.

Jonas is the founder or co-founder of several transformative platforms including the Annual Africa Conference on Social Transformation (AACOSE), the Network of Africa Social Enterprises (NASE), the Comboni Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship (CASE), the Social Innovation Summit (DRC-SIS), and Social Enterprise Kenya (SEK).

A passionate mentor and researcher, his scholarship explores how faith and spirituality can serve as catalysts for social innovation. He is a member of Catalyst Now, the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR), and the African Network of Social Entrepreneurship Scholars (ANSES).

Through his visionary leadership and faith-inspired approach, Dr. Jonas continues to shape Africa’s social impact landscape, fostering collaboration between academia, faith communities, and social entrepreneurs to build a more just and transformed continent.
